Mailshots: a brand new Judges filter
The mailshot filter family — first launched in v2.46 — grows again. v2.48 adds a Judges filter with the same granular targeting Evessio customers have come to love.
Target judges by…
- Judging round — isolate judges on a particular round for round-specific comms
- Completion progress — nudge the ones still working through their batch
- Judge status — target by their status in the programme
- Confirmation status — reach the ones who haven't yet confirmed participation
Also tidied up: Judge Activity recipients are now sorted by judge name instead of appearing in an arbitrary order — a small but genuinely welcome quality-of-life improvement when scanning the recipient list.
Workflow upgrade
Custom Reports now run on demand.
Pick your options first, then click 'Run report' when you're ready. Running a lengthy report? You can now cancel it at any time — no more waiting for a slow report you've already changed your mind about.
Custom Reports: on-demand workflow
A small but meaningful workflow change for anyone who lives in Custom Reports. Picking your options now comes before running the report, and a long-running report can be cancelled at any time — great for teams who were previously stuck waiting for a report they'd already decided to tweak.
Media library: copy link for any file
PDFs and other documents in the media library now behave just like images do — open the detail popup and you'll find copy link and download options waiting. Perfect for grabbing a share link to a PDF without jumping between screens.
Better submitter capture in web forms
Web form and awards voting spreadsheets now include the name and email of logged-in submitters, recorded alongside their submission. For teams who need to trace who submitted what — or follow up on an entry — this makes the audit trail noticeably more complete.
Mailshot engagement data
'Users opened' now counts correctly.
The 'Users opened' counter and progress bar on mailshots now update correctly as recipients open your messages. Open rates, finally reliable.
A tidy batch of judging fixes
Several lingering judging niggles have been swept up in this release — individually small, collectively a noticeable step forward:

Unassigned judges no longer skew scores. Scores no longer include criteria from judges who have been unassigned from a round.

PDF exports now behave. Exporting a judging round to PDF no longer shows the mysterious "Error: STARTED" message.

Shortlist images: right size, every time. The correct image size is now selected by default, and images no longer appear corrupted after the first upload.

Shortlist edit redirect. Shortlist actions now correctly redirect to the edit form, instead of landing elsewhere.

Other fixes and polish
Rounding out the release, a handful of smaller but welcome improvements across the platform:
Basket: Replicator counters now update instantly
Required and optional Replicator field counters now update straight away when data is added or removed from the basket. No more stale numbers.
Publishing error on some events
An error that was affecting publishing updates on a subset of events has been identified and fixed.
Background processing is now more resilient
Exports, PDF generation and emails now use more resilient background processing that recovers automatically from transient issues. The sort of improvement you won't notice day-to-day — unless it had previously tripped you up.

Each of these updates is modest on its own. Together, they represent the kind of steady, thoughtful platform work that makes Evessio a more capable, reliable and enjoyable place to run your events — every single day.
