What on earth is LLMO?
You already know SEO — Search Engine Optimisation, the practice of making sure Google and other search engines can index your content properly. LLMO is the same idea, just for the new wave of large language models: Large Language Model Optimisation.
As people increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and others "who runs the best awards for X industry", your event websites need to be legible to those models — not just to Google. That's what LLMO is all about, and v2.47 makes sure your sites are ready for it.
Why this matters now
The way people find events is changing.
Discovery is no longer just about the ten blue links. AI assistants are becoming a real source of recommendations — and they rely on structured, machine-readable data to understand what your event actually is. Getting ahead of this now puts your events on the map for the years ahead.
Automatic meta data for dynamic pages
Dynamic pages — think personal profiles, organisation profiles, news articles and category listings — now automatically generate proper meta data from their own content. Titles, descriptions, and everything else the web needs to make sense of a page, all handled for you.
Previously, dynamic pages could be a bit of an SEO blind spot; now they're first-class citizens of the search-engine world.
Machine-rich meta via JSON-LD
For AI readability, we've gone a step further: v2.47 supports JSON-LD — the structured-data format that search engines and large language models use to understand exactly what a page is about, in a language they can read directly.
The result: your event pages, category listings, profiles and news are all served up with the structured context that both search engines and AI models are increasingly using to understand and recommend content.
Also: canonical URL support for multi-domain sites
For customers who run their sites across multiple domains — for example, an .com and a country-specific variant — v2.47 also introduces canonical URL support. This tells search engines and AI models which version of a page is the definitive one, avoiding duplicate-content penalties and getting all your ranking signals pointing to the right place.
How it lands on your site
The rollout is straightforward — but slightly different depending on whether your themes are Evessio's or custom-built. Here's what to expect:
System themes
Fully automatic
All Evessio system themes are updated automatically as soon as v2.47 goes out. Nothing for you to do.
Custom themes
Available via an add-in
For teams running custom themes, the SEO / LLMO feature is available as an add-in you can drop in when you're ready.
Heads-up: after adding to custom themes, republish
If you're on a custom theme, once the add-in has been added to your themes, you'll need to "Republish all pages" for the new meta data to flow through to your live site.
For teams on system themes, this happens automatically — no action needed.
Ready for what's next
v2.47 lays down the foundations — automatic meta data, JSON-LD support, canonical URLs. But this is only the first phase of Evessio's SEO / LLMO story. There's more coming in the next couple of releases as we continue building out how your sites speak to the modern web.
The web is changing. Your events are ready for it.
