Cosmetics & Toiletries (C&T) is a leading B2B media brand serving professionals across the cosmetics research and development industry. For more than a century, C&T has provided trusted insights to formulators, scientists, and R&D experts driving innovation in beauty and personal care.
To celebrate excellence in this technical field, C&T launched the C&T Allē Awards, a programme honouring breakthroughs in formulation, ingredient development, and product testing. Originally introduced in 2005, the awards were relaunched in 2022 as a paid, standalone initiative to spotlight industry innovators.

The search for a robust solution
By 2023, C&T's existing event platform was showing its limits. The system struggled with the extensive documentation required from entrants, making the submission and judging process cumbersome. Managing entries through large spreadsheets and shared drives created inefficiencies and left little room for the kind of growth the team had in mind.
When C&T management committed to expanding the programme in 2024, they set out to find a new partner — one that could simplify complex processes, handle heavy documentation, and support future growth.

When your entrants are scientists submitting white papers, your judges need to view, score, and discuss complex material in one place. Evessio replaced the sprawling spreadsheets with an integrated, automated system from day one.
A seamless transition
The transition began with a smooth onboarding process. Evessio's account management team worked closely with C&T to structure the awards site, set up submission forms, and configure judging panels. The initial build provided a solid foundation, while subsequent refinements allowed the team to tailor the platform to their unique needs.
C&T also leveraged Evessio's flexibility to go beyond entry management, integrating logo licensing functionality that required legal agreements before download. With direct input from Evessio's CTO, the platform was custom-coded to handle this new feature seamlessly.
